When it comes to "movers & shakers," Carolyn Faulk leads the group. As president of A&C Plastics, Faulk has grown her company to become one of the nation’s largest distributors of plastic sheet material. Yet Carolyn looks beyond her company's success to help others. She has again in 2019 funded the Carolyn Faulk Young Leaders Scholarship Fund, which Women Driving Business awards to young females (new in business or still in business school). Through this scholarship, young women in Houston can connect with others who can mentor and mold the next generation of female business leaders.
Rhena Anderson is the owner of Hollander Home Healthcare, a home healthcare services provider for temporary and long-standing care across Harris County. Rhena placed 4th in the HCC Business Plan Competition. She was also awarded the 2019 Carolyn Faulk Young Leaders Scholarship Fund, which allows her to participate in the 2019 Women Driving Business events.
Kathie Edwards is the CEO of Westpark Communications. She has been a longtime member of the Houston West Chamber; served on the board of directors; has been on the Women Driving Business committee and an annual sponsor. She also served as the chair of the Business Resource Committee. Kathie met Dorothy Gibbons, co-founder and CEO of The Rose, over 15 years ago at a CEO roundtable. Kathie learned how The Rose helped the community with the detection of breast cancer in uninsured women and men. The Rose also became a client of Westpark Communications. Westpark Communications’ offices have moved to northwest Houston, but Kathie is still shining a light on west Houston and Women Driving Business. She’s helping Dorothy and The Rose move to the forefront in its mission to assist others in the community. Westpark Communications’ continued support of The Rose has allowed the organization to be the presenting sponsor of Women Driving Business for the past three years.
